This page explains how to delete your Xpiry account and the data stored with it. Xpiry is developed and operated by CJ Interactive LLC. You can delete your account yourself inside the app, or email us if you no longer have the app installed. Both options are described below.

Delete your account in the app

The fastest way to delete your account is from within Xpiry:

Open the Xpiry app.
Tap Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Confirm when prompted. If you linked your account with Google or Apple, you will be asked to sign in again so we can verify it is you.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. As soon as you confirm, your pantry items, stores, saved recipes, profile, and sign-in account are removed from our servers. There is no grace period and no way to recover the data afterwards, so export or note anything you want to keep before you confirm.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can:

Delete a pantry item — swipe the item in your pantry list, or use the Select button to remove several at once.
Delete a saved recipe — open Saved Recipes and remove any recipe you no longer want.
Reset expiry personalization — open Stores, pick a store, and clear the learned expiry adjustments for any item.

Each of these removes the data from our servers straight away. If you would rather we did it for you, email justin@cjinteractivellc.com describing what you want deleted, and we will confirm within 30 days.

Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, email us and we will delete your account for you:

Send an email to justin@cjinteractivellc.com with the subject "Delete my Xpiry account."
Send it from the email address you used to sign in with Google or Apple, or include your Account ID so we can find your account. Your Account ID is shown on the Settings screen and you can tap it to copy it.

We will verify your request and complete the deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes everything tied to it. Nothing is retained in an anonymized form.

Every pantry item: names, categories, storage locations, and expiry dates	Deleted
Store names and your per-store expiry personalization history	Deleted
Saved recipes	Deleted
Reminder time, expiring-soon threshold, and notification settings	Deleted
Usage counts: receipt scans, recipe discoveries, items used or thrown away	Deleted
Your sign-in account	Deleted
Receipt photos	Never stored in the first place. They are read once during a scan and discarded.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your Xpiry account does not cancel an active Xpiry Premium subscription, because subscriptions are billed by the app store rather than by us. Cancel it before or after deleting your account:

Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel Xpiry.
iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Xpiry.
